Richard White, M.D., received by Jacksonville Mayor’s Hispanic American Advisory Board

Richard White, M.D. (CIM ’12), Division of Community Internal Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida, was recognized by the Jacksonville Mayor’s Hispanic American Advisory Board for his outstanding contributions to the Jacksonville Hispanic Community.

Dr. White has been involved in health education, community outreach efforts and extensive community engagement research with the Hispanic/Latino community.

He was an invited presenter at a State of Hispanic Health event that addressed Latino community wellness across Northeast Florida. He also launched H.O.P.E. Para la Comunidad-Health Outreach Program en Espanol-aimed at increasing awareness of diseases and conditions disproportionately affecting the Hispanic community. Dr. White also has coordinated a number of Spanish-language health presentations.

Dr. White is an assistant professor of medicine and pediatrics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
