Robert Cima, M.D., appointed chair of Rochester Hospital Practice Subcommittee and medical director, Hospital Operations at Mayo Clinic in Rochester
Robert Cima, M.D. (CRS ’01), has been appointed as the new chair of Rochester Hospital Practice Subcommittee and medical director of Hospital Operations for Mayo Clinic. He’ll be responsible for the leadership and management of the hospital practice through coordinating practice resources and optimizing care delivery. He’ll also be the liaison to the Midwest Specialty Care Clinical Practice Committee.
Dr. Cima is a professor of surgery and consultant in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He is chair of the Rochester Surgical Committee, Rochester Surgical and Procedural Subcommittee, and Hospital Practice Quality and Safety Committee. He joined Mayo Clinic in 2003.
Dr. Cima succeeds Amy Williams, M.D. (I ’87, NEPH ’89, NEPH ’90), who served as chair since 2013. Dr. Williams was recently named chair of the Department of Medicine.
