Robin Patel, M.D. (I ’92, INFD ’95, CM ’96), Division of Clinical Microbiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was featured in the New England Journal of Medicine for her work on periprosthetic joint infection. Dr. Patel is director of Mayo Clinic’s Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory and co-director of the Clinical Bacteriology Laboratory. She is the Elizabeth P. and Robert E. Allen Professor of Individualized Medicine and a professor of medicine and microbiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
