Rodrigo Cartin-Ceba, M.D., receives Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA)

Rodrigo Cartin-Ceba, M.D. (CCMA ’08, THDCC ’10, CTSA ’13), Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona, received a Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA). The program is an intramural investment mechanism to provide pilot support to junior Mayo Clinic faculty on the Arizona campus who plan to pursue subsequent funding through competitive extramural mechanisms.

Dr. Cartin-Ceba’s project is “Lipotoxicity Induced in β2-Andrenergic Stimulation Contributes to the Development of Multiorgan Failure in Critically Ill Patients.”

Dr. Cartin-Ceba is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
