Roman Thaler, Ph.D. (OR ’16), receives an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester
Roman Thaler, Ph.D. (OR ’16), Orthopedic Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a 2022 Precision Medicine Award from the Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) and Center for Individualized Medicine. The goal of the Precision Medicine Awards is to support projects that will lead to applications for extramural funding. The scope of projects funded by Precision Medicine Awards support integrating genomic sequencing and personalized medicine tools with Mayo’s wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise to uncover and apply new ways to predict, diagnose and treat disease. Dr. Thaler’s project is Elucidation of the Genetic Master Regulators Inducing Knee Arthrofibrosis.” Dr. Thaler is an assistant professor of orthopedics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
