Rory Smoot, M.D., receives AHPBA Research Development Grant

Rory Smoot, M.D. (MED ’05, S ’08, CI ’10, S ’12), Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a 2020 Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association Research Development Grant for his proposal “Nanovesicle Based Targeting of YAP as a Therapeutic Approach in Cholangiocarcinoma.” The $30,000 grant will support exploration of novel approaches to targeted therapy in cholangiocarcinoma in his lab.

Dr. Smoot is an assistant professor of surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
