S. Allen Luis, M.B.B.S., to be medical director for Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Advanced Cardiovascular Sonography Program

S. Allen Luis, M.B.B.S. (CVEC ’14, CVAD ’15), Division of Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, will become the medical director for the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Advanced Cardiovascular Sonography Program in May.

He succeeds Rekha Mankad, M.D. (CV ’07), who has held the medical director position since the program was established and will transition out of the role.

Dr. Allen is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
