Saad Kenderian, M.B., Ch.B. (HEMO ’13), Division of Hematology/Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Schulze Family Foundation Award in Cancer Research from the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center for a project entitled “Pilot Trial of Autologous T Cells Engineered to Express Anti-CD33 Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CART33) in Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia.”

The Schulze Award targets resources to late-phase projects that seek rapid implementation of the most promising therapies for patients.

Dr. Kenderian also is an assistant professor of immunology and medicine and oncology.
