Samuel Asirvatham, M.D., is vice chair, Innovation, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Samuel Asirvatham, M.D. (CVEP ’00), Division of Heart Rhythm Services in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named vice chair for Innovation for the department, a new position. He will serve on the Executive Committee in the department’s Midwest practice and chair the Office of Entrepreneurship in the Cardiovascular Research Center.

Dr. Asirvatham has a joint appointment in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering and is a professor of medicine and pediatrics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
