Sean Dowdy, M.D., is Mayo Clinic’s chief value officer

Sean Dowdy, M.D. (OBG ’01, GYNO ’04), chair, Division of Gynecologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, is now Mayo Clinic’s chief value officer. Dr. Dowdy will lead the strategy and execution for the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery and Mayo Clinic Quality and Affordability. He will fortify Mayo Clinic’s brand and reputation as a category of one within health care in alignment with Mayo Clinic’s “Bold. Forward.” strategic plan. Dr. Dowdy succeeds Andrew Limper, M.D. (I ’87, THD ’91) in this role.

Dr. Dowdy is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
