Sikander Ailawadhi, M.D.

Sikander Ailawadhi, M.D. (HEMO ’14), has been appointed medical director of International Advisory Services for Mayo Clinic International. Dr. Ailawadhi will serve as the physician lead for Mayo Clinic International’s advisory practice, guiding clinical strategy and ensuring the highest standards of care and quality across our international collaborations. He will work in a dyad leadership model alongside Andrea Cohen, executive director of International Advisory Services, to shape and implement strategic initiatives that bring Mayo Clinic expertise to health systems worldwide. As medical director, Dr. Ailawadhi will oversee the design and delivery of advisory engagements with global clients, supporting clinical program development, enhancing operational performance and advancing care models grounded in Mayo Clinic’s values. Dr. Ailawadhi is a professor of hematology-oncology at Mayo Clinic in Florida, specializing in plasma cell disorders like multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He has also led Mayo Clinic’s International Cancer Center, promoting global expansion of Mayo Clinic’s care model.
