Steven Alberts, M.D., named deputy director of clinical research, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center
Steven Alberts, M.D. (I ’93, HEMO ’97), chair, Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been named deputy director of clinical research for Mayo Clinic Cancer Center (MCCC). As part of the MCCC senior leadership team, he’ll be involved in maintaining the MCCC’s National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Center Support Grant and Mayo’s designation as an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Alberts will facilitate cancer clinical research across the Mayo Clinic enterprise, oversee cancer clinical trials across the enterprise, and work with other deputy directors to translate therapeutic and predictive cancer research in MCCC programs into clinical trials.
Dr. Alberts also is a professor of oncology.
