Steven Nelson, M.D., received Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA)

Steven Nelson, M.D. (TY ’08, DERM ’11), Division of Dermatopathology and Cutaneous Immunopathology, Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received a Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA) from the Mayo Clinic Clinical Research Subcommittee and the Research Operations Management Team in Arizona. Dr. Nelson’s project is “Genetic Expression of Cutaneous Granulomatous Diseases with Diagnostic and Therapeutic Intent.”

The program provides intramural pilot support to junior faculty on the Arizona campus who plan to pursue subsequent funding through competitive extramural mechanisms.

Dr. Nelson is an assistant professor of dermatology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
