Suzanne Norby, M.D., named assistant dean for Student Competency and Professional Standards in Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Dr. Norby is an associate professor of medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science

Suzanne Norby, M.D. (I ’98, NEPH ’01), Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named assistant dean for Student Competency and Professional Standards in Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.

She will continue to serve as chair of the Student Progress and Review Committee and, via that committee, will determine whether each Mayo Clinic School of Medicine student has met educational program objectives for satisfactory progression throughout medical school and for graduation. She will oversee the school’s disciplinary actions, academic deficiencies and pertaining policies.

Dr. Norby is an associate professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
