Tait Shanafelt, M.D., named to Time’s “The Health Care 50”

Tait Shanafelt, M.D. (HEMO ’05), the first-ever chief of wellness officer for Stanford Medicine in Stanford, California, was named to Time’s “The Health Care 50: fifty people transforming health care in 2018.” The magazine said, “Nearly half of doctors now say they’re professionally burned out. On the front lines to change the medical system that churns out detached doctors – and endangers patients – is Shanafelt, named the first-ever chief of wellness officer for Stanford Medicine.”
