Taro Hitosugi, Ph.D. (ONCL ’13), received a Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice Innovation Accelerator Award

Taro Hitosugi, Ph.D. (ONCL ’13), Division of Oncology Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice Innovation Accelerator Award for the project “Development of Small Molecule Activators of L-2-Hydroxyglutarate Dehydrogenase (L-2HGDH) for Cancer Treatment.” Innovation Accelerator Awards support projects that aim to develop new technologies with commercialization potential, such as medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, small-molecule drug discovery, healthcare IT and other human health innovations, including practice initiatives. Dr. Hitosugi is an associate professor of pharmacology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
