Theresa Emory, M.D., receives Public Service Award from College of American Pathologists

Theresa Emory, M.D.

Theresa Emory, M.D. (PATH ’94), received the 2017 Public Service Award in Honor of Frank C. Coleman from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Dr. Emory is a member of the CAP’s Economic Affairs Committee and has helped coordinate responses to local coverage determinations and other issues that affect physicians. She also is a member of the CAP Foundation Board of Directors and has hosted See, Test & Treat events that provide free cancer screening and other care to underserved women.

Dr. Emory is vice president of the Peninsula Pathology Associates in Salisbury, Maryland; medical director of the laboratory at Riverside Doctor’s Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia; and medical director of the laboratory at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia.

She also was recently nominated to be vice president of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association.
