Virend Somers, M.D., Ph.D., elected for membership in Association of American Physicians

Virend Somers, M.D., Ph.D. (HYT ’99), Division of Preventive Cardiology, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was selected for membership in the Association of American Physicians. The association is a repository of the best medical minds including Nobel laureates and members of the National Academy of Science and Institute of Medicine.

Dr. Somers is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
