Virend Somers, M.D., Ph.D.

Virend Somers, M.D., Ph.D. (HYT ’99), in collaboration with Choudhary (Anwar) Chahal, M.B., Ch.B. (CV), both in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, were awarded a new $3 million, four-year R01 grant by the National Institutes of Health to study sleep in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
