Vitaly Herasevich, M.D., Ph.D (PHYS ’07, THDCC ’09, CTSA ’11) Division of Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, is now president-elect of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Minnesota Chapter Board of Directors. The not-for-profit organization is dedicated to promoting a better understanding of healthcare information and management systems. The chapter is dedicated to providing high-quality information and activities to its members — 1,300 healthcare information professionals from across Minnesota and beyond. The chapter also dedicates efforts toward advocacy, professional development and scholarship. It provides opportunities for local professionals to exchange information about current issues and learn about topics that enable them to make better choices for themselves and their organizations. Dr. Herasevich is a professor of anesthesiology and medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
