Vuyisile Nkomo, M.D. (I ’97, CV ’01), Division of Structural Heart Disease at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has a project selected for advancement in the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery. His project is “Leveraging the Power of Echocardiography: A Systematic Approach to Improve Diagnosis and Referral for Appropriate Care of Patients with Aortic Stenosis.” The Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery will provide project support and dedicated time from center staff, including scientists, analysts, project managers and clinical research coordinators. Most projects will be complete in 12 months. Dr. Nkomo is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
