Waleed Brinjikji, M.D. (MED ’11, RD ’16, RNEU ’17), receives an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Waleed Brinjikji, M.D. (MED ’11, RD ’16, RNEU ’17), Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice Innovation Accelerator Award for the project “Lumbo-Venous CSF Shunt for Treatment of Communicating Hydrocephalus.” The Innovation Accelerator Award program supports projects that aim to develop new technologies with commercialization potential, such as medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, small-molecule drug discovery, healthcare information technology, or other human health innovations, including practice initiatives. Dr. Brinjikji is a professor of radiology and neurosurgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
