Debabrata Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D., is director of new laboratory for nanotechnology research

Debabrata (Dev) Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D. (MBIO ’03), Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering at Mayo Clinic in Florida, has been named director of the new laboratory for nanotechnology research.

The lab is a key part of Mayo Clinic’s new Translational Nanomedicine Program, and will focus on developing, testing and applying tiny materials to diagnose and treat patients, especially those with cancer.
