The course overview, audience and learning objectives for our course are as follows:
The Mayo Clinic Alumni Association Biennial program is a multi-disciplinary program held in odd-numbered years. The program is specifically curated to include topics of broad interest that will appeal to alumni of any specialty. The program is one of many activities the association produces in support of their mission “Connecting our alumni and bringing Mayo Clinic Values to the world.” An important aspect is the opportunity for alumni to renew social and professional relationships and renew their connection to Mayo Clinic’s RICH TIES values.
This program, specifically for Mayo Clinic alumni, provides participants with current and comprehensive programing that features Mayo Clinic’s best clinical, education and research topics from all Mayo Clinic locations.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain the historical evolution, current landscape, and future trajectories of Hospital at Home models, with emphasis on innovations driving the next generation of decentralized acute care.
- Classify artificial intelligence.
- Summarize how artificial intelligence (AI) aligns with the enterprise practice strategy and operating plan of Mayo Clinic.
- Identify specific examples of AI at Mayo Clinic.
- Identify characteristics and appropriate timing for patients with arthritis for referral to radiation oncology.
- Describe the timing and course of treatment for arthritis and potential for additional courses of treatment.
- Name 3 additional benign indications for radiotherapy.
- Discuss potential side effects and risk of radiation induced malignancies.
- Identify how to locate board certified radiation oncologists in your area.
