Gerardo Colon-Otero, M.D.
He has been very involved in the education shield, advancing learning opportunities for Mayo medical students through collaborations with University of Florida Health, Nemours Children’s Clinic and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, and serving as part of the medical school’s expansion of its Year 3 and Year 4 programs to the Florida campus.
Dr. Colon-Otero will provide strategic oversight for the school’s southeast campus and on-site leadership for the faculty, staff and students.
Dr. Colon-Otero is a consultant in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida and a professor of medicine.
