John Jarstad, M.D. (OPH ’88), has written “Eye to Eye — Memoirs of a Mayo Clinic Trained Eye Surgeon” that was published by Christian Faith Publishers and available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes and the Christian Faith Publisher’s website.
The book details his 55+ humanitarian volunteer eye surgery teaching missions to 25 countries including North Korea, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Nigeria, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines and Indonesia, where he was awarded the University of Indonesia’s Lecturer’s medal.
“I owe all of my success to my Mayo training,” says Dr. Jarstad.
