Charles “Van” Allen, M.D. (I ’62) has authored Keeping Score, a collection of over 100 essays first published 2000 – 2014 in the Modesto Bee. Â The essays cover wide ranging topics include medical economics and practice, local and national politics, education and general observations on the human condition.
Dr. Allen is semi-retired and is the Assistant Medical Director for Physician Recruitment with the Gould Medical Group, Modesto California.
