Leslie Cooper, M.D., appointed enterprise chair, Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiology
Leslie Cooper, M.D. (CV-VM ’97), has been appointed enterprise chair of the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiology.
Dr. Cooper joined the Mayo Clinic staff in 1997 and has practiced in Arizona, Florida and Rochester. Since 2015 he has chaired the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases in Florida. Dr. Cooper also is a member of the Enterprise Cardiovascular Executive Committee and Enterprise Operations Coordinating Group. He served previously as director of the Gonda Vascular Center.
Dr. Cooper succeeds Charanji Rihal, M.D. (I ’89, CV ’93), who accepted the role of chair, Mayo Clinic Rochester Personnel Committee after serving as institutional and Rochester chair for Cardiovascular Medicine.
