Mayo Clinic alumni gather in Reykjavik, Iceland

Mayo Clinic alumni in Iceland convened in Reykjavik in August 2019 to celebrate their common foundation. Guest speakers included Thovadur Halfdanarson, M.D. (HEMO ’07), Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester; Bjoerg Thorsteinsdottir, M.D. (I ’05), Division of Community Internal Medicine, Mayo Clinic in Rochester; and Johann Ingimarsson, M.D. (UMI ’16).

Since 10936, more than 20 Icelandic physicians have studied or worked at Mayo Clinic. The first was Olfeigur Ofeigsson, M.D. (I ’39).
