Michael Silber, M.B., Ch.B., receives Excellence in Education Award from American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Michael Silber, M.B., Ch.B. (N ’87), Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, will receive the Excellence in Education Award for outstanding contributions in the teaching of sleep medicine from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) at the group’s annual meeting in Boston on June 5.
Dr. Silber is dean of Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and past co-director of the Mayo Clinic Center for Sleep Medicine. He served as program director of the Mayo Clinic Fellowship in Sleep Medicine for 14 years, educating 60 fellows. He has served as president of the AASM, president of the American Board of Sleep Medicine and chair of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship Directors Council. Dr. Silber also is a professor of neurology.
