Albert Tahmoush, M.D. (I ’69)

Tahmoush, Dr. Albert Joseph, – of Atlantic City, passed away Tuesday, April 13th at the age of 81. His loss leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him but we will treasure the memories and laughs we shared. He was born to Joseph and Emiline Tahmoush on April 1st, 1940 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. A graduate of Columbia University, Tufts University School of Medicine, and Rutgers University Graduate School of Business he was also a Lt. Colonel in the Army reserves. A passionate medical researcher and academic in his chosen field of Neurology he had been a member of the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University and Drexel University College of Medicine. He retired to Atlantic City and dearly loved spending time walking with his wife along the boardwalk and playing on the beach with his grandchildren. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather he is survived by his wife Bjorg Haugstad, her daughter Katherine and husband Michael, children Tyler, Zackary, and Breana, his children Joseph Tahmoush and wife Trisha, David Tahmoush and wife Jin, Elizabeth Truett, and husband Tony, Michelle Tahmoush and grandchildren Abigail Truett, Olivia Truett, Alexander Tahmoush and Emiline Tahmoush. He was preceded by his parents and brothers Joseph, Donald, Raymond, and James. A public viewing will be held from 2 to 3pm on April 24th at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, NJ. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
