1937 - 2022
Ed Renner, 84, passed away at home April 2nd under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. He was born on December 16th, 1937, in Parkersburg, Iowa and grew up in Waterloo, Iowa. After serving in the army, he returned to Iowa and attended college, eventually receiving his doctorate degree in microbiology and clinical training at the Mayo Clinic. He spent twenty years working as director of the clinical laboratory at the Fargo Veterans Hospital.
Ed was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting as often as time allowed. The family freezer was always filled with fish, venison, moose, antelope, pheasant and grouse. He loved the time he spent with his dogs, wandering the great plains of North Dakota.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne, daughters Christina Rostad, Cynthia Dubord, son Donald and grandchildren Hailey, Parker, Mason, Riley, Isabelle and great grandson Theo.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 24th at 2:00 pm at the Sanctuary Events Center, 670 4th Ave. N., Fargo.
