He pioneered the use of cardiac catheterization and later echocardiology in that city, joining McMaster University Medical Faculty after it opened in 1966.

Other than his medical practice, Jack’s interests included keeping turtles in their own indoor-outdoor pool at home, raising chickens for delicious eggs, building and repairing docks, and enjoying voyages in both sail and motor boats. He will be missed. A private family service will be held shortly.
