Karl Niehaus, M.D. (I ‘59)

Age 89, Loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother–in-law and friend to many. Karl passed away after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. He was a prominent Omaha physician retiring 25 years ago, Air Force veteran, animal lover, lifelong Nebraska football fan, enjoyed taking care of his home, antique clocks, cooking, traveling, history, and enjoying his favorite beers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce E. Niehaus; his mother and father, Friedrich and Ruth Niehaus. He is survived by his three children, Karl Jr., Paul, and Elizabeth and husband George Sanders; grandchildren, Laura and Samantha; and great-grandchildren, Arlo, Roen, and Kain.

Private Family Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Nebraska Historical Society and Omaha Nebraska Humane Society.
