Samuel E. Stubbs, M.D. (I 1968, THD 1971)

Sam E. Stubbs 81 was born January 28, 1935 in Clinton, TN to the late Samuel P. Stubbs and Edna D. Stubbs.  He passed away November 18, 2016.  Sam was a member of the Cumberland Homestead Baptist Church.  Sam received his B.S. in Pharmacy and his MD from the University of Tennessee.  He was a doctor, instructor, and assistant professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Stubbs Fredrickson, grandchildren Cole Fredrickson and fiancé Kelsey Braatz, Hannah Fredrickson and fiancé Juan Navarro, Hayden Fredrickson, and Savannah Brent;  sister Ella Stubbs Turner and special friend Cathy DeVos.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Pete Stubbs and L.D. Stubbs and wife Patricia Burnett Stubbs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday November 26, 2016 at 10am from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday November 25, 2016 from 5-7pm at Hood Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Rollins will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Fredrickson, Juan Navarro, Sam P. Stubbs, Mike Stubbs, Dennis Richards and John Stubbs.
