1943 - 2015

Thomas P. Driscoll, M.D. (I 1973)

Born into Eternal Life suddenly, at home, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Patricia M. (Nee: McNally) Driscoll. They were married June 25, 1966. Loving and proud father to Ann (Scott) Lamberg, Thomas Jr.(Peggy) Driscoll, Kathleen Stanek, Daniel (Sarah) Driscoll, and Brigid (Tom) Cassidy . Grandfather of Elizabeth and Mark Driscoll, Megan and Ryan Stanek, and Norah, Patrick and Colleen Cassidy. He is also survived by his sisters Maureen Driscoll Connell, Janet Driscoll, and Patricia (Sylvin) Watson. He will be further remembered and missed by many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Leo Driscoll, and nephew Kevin McDonald.

Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 8, 1943 to Eleanor (Bazen) and Leo Driscoll. He graduated from St Sebastian’s grade school, Marquette University High School 1961, Marquette University 1965, and Marquette Medical School in 1969. He did his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital Milwaukee, Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN, and a Fellowship in Endocrinology at Medical College of Wisconsin Milwaukee County General Hospital. He practiced medicine for over 40 years at St Joseph’s Hospital and Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. He was on the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin and was Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Marquette University. He became a Fellow in the American College of Physicians in 1983. Tom was President of the Medical Staff at St Joseph’s Hospital then became Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs. He served as Chief Medical Officer for Covenant Healthcare and was Executive Vice President for Wheaton Franciscan Health Care System. He also served as the Medical Advisor to the Wauwatosa Fire Department. Most importantly, Tom was a devoted grandfather, father and husband. In his retirement his greatest joys were his grandchildren and music. He volunteered at St Anne’s, The Lutheran Home and Greater Milwaukee Free clinic.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7474 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI from 3PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 5PM, followed immediately by a reception and time of sharing and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Thomas’ memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3333 N. Mayfair Rd #107 , Milwaukee, WI 53222.
